Andrea’s Angel Walk

Andrea’s Angel Walk is an annual 5k walk/run named in honor of Andrea Ndukwu. It’s dedicated to raising awareness of Sickle Cell Disease (SCD). Despite being the #1 inherited blood disorder sickle cell patients face many barriers to care. The Sickle Circle of Manitoba is thrilled to announce that we will be holding our 7th annual Andrea’s Angel Walk at Kildonan Park on September 7th 2024. The walk will start at 9:30am.

Andrea’s Angel Walk 2024

This year, we are encouraging a $25 registration fee to help support our efforts in reaching our fundraising goal of $5,000. While the fee is not mandatory, your contribution will make a significant difference to our campaign

If you are unable to contribute the fee, please don’t let that stop you from joining us. Everyone is welcome to participate.

Make an even greater impact by collecting pledges from your friends, family, and colleagues. We’ve made it easy with our Pledge Form, which you can be download and used to gather additional donation for Andrea’s Angel Walk.

Strike up the conversation and let people know the cause you’re walking for. Every pledge you collect helps brings us one step closer to supporting people living with Sickle Cell Disease. Whether big or small every contribution helps.

*As a Charitable Organization, donations of $50 or more will receive a tax receipt!

Andrea Ndukwu

Andrea was a fierce sickle warrior who lost her battle to the disease at the tender age of seven. Her spirit and infectious smile precedes her and inspires this event.

The namesake walk is used to honor such a beautiful soul. Although her physical presence is seriously missed, this guardian angel has always been a constant source of love and light to the Ndukwu family.

Andrea’s Angel Walk is held annually in September which is Sickle Cell Awareness Month. All funds raised during this event will directly support our Patient Outreach Program, heaping us reach more individuals in need of care and support.
