The Sickle Circle of Manitoba exists to enrich the lifestyle and health of all people living with Sickle Cell Disease. Through fundraising, workshops and public events, we will improve advocacy, education and outreach for families living with SCD and thereby raise awareness across Manitoba.

Beverly Ndukwu (President)

Beverly Ndukwu is the president and founder of the Sickle Circle of Manitoba. Originally from Winnipeg Manitoba, This is the second Sickle Cell organization she's helped found. As a member of the Sickle Cell community, her dedication to the cause is both personal and professional.
She's an actress, and x-ray technologist. Although she juggles many hats, her passion and dedication to Sickle Cell Disease is a constant that never changes.
Linda Ndukwu (

After the devastating and untimely death of her sister who passed away from complications of Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) Linda’s interest in patient health and advocacy became personal in nature. Motivated by a profound interest in patient care, Linda redirected her career into the medical field and became a Registered Nurse in order to be a voice and lobby for standardized care for those living with SCD.
As a SCD patient advocate Linda is able to help individuals navigate the healthcare system. She is involved in clinical research and actively advocates the needs of SCD patients with regulators, researchers, pharmaceutical companies and allied health industry professionals in Manitoba and across Canada.
Sara MacPherson (S

Sara MacPherson is a board member and secretary at The Sickle Circle of Manitoba. She's married with 2 teenage daughters and works as an Assistant Director in a child care program.
Sara enjoys spending her spare time camping, travelling and hanging out with family and friends.
Her best friend has Sickle Cell Disease which has prompted Sara to be a part of change and advocacy here in Manitoba
